08.13.14 

In those days I, Daniel, was mourning three full weeks. I ate no pleasant food, no meat or wine came into my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled. - Daniel 10:2-3 NKJV. 

Suddenly, a hand touched me, which made me tremble on my knees and on the palms of my hands. And he said to me, “O Daniel, man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for I have now been sent to you.” While he was speaking this word to me, I stood trembling. Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come.” - Daniel 10:10-14 NKJV. 

Here are a few of the well-known death cults that are included in a tour that someone has put together to visit where these groups committed some of their murders: The Charles Manson family who killed more than 27 people in the late 1960s; Yahweh ben Yahweh and the Temple of Love in late 1980s and 1990 are linked to dozens of murders as an initiation rite; The Order of the Solar Temple is responsible for the murder and suicide of dozens of people. These death cults were all in a minor league compared to what the world is facing with ISIS/ISIL. 

This is a sick, very sick subject to have to deal with; however, the alternative is to stick our heads in the sand and pretend everything is wonderful in the world. Why talk about it? Because there is a new death cult stalking the world on a larger scale than has been seen in many decades. Lt. Colonel (Ret) Ralph Peters is a strategic analyst and on Fox News this morning said that ISIS or ISIL is a new kind of threat, “This has gone beyond Islam. This is a new, apocalyptic death cult that’s burst out of Islam. Even the Nazis didn’t film public beheadings and broadcast them. ISIS is beyond Islam, it’s beyond any religion, it’s a blood cult, a death cult.” A blurb on Amazon about one of Peters’ books describes who he is by saying, “For three decades, Ralph Peters has been the most provocative and visionary American writer on strategy, security, intelligence, and military affairs, predicting every major trend that has plagued the post-Cold-War world. A career military officer and acclaimed author, he has always faced the issues others shunned until it was too late.” 

On the Anniversary of D-Day this year I wrote about how evil must sometimes be confronted (Confronting Evil 06.06.14). Evil was confronted and temporarily defeated in World War II. Prior to the nations confronting the evil represented by Hitler and the Axis powers (Germany, Italy, and Japan) huge numbers of people were massacred. Finally, it was realized by all that if nations didn’t want to be under the horrific thumb of Hitler and his minions they would have to go to war. Nations have done the same thing with the evil represented in the death cult of ISIS/ISIL. This growing evil and threat has been ignored even though it is estimated ISIS had already horrifically slaughtered 170,000 mostly Christians in Syria before they got to Iraq. 

ISIS/ISIL is the physical manifestation of Satan here on Planet Earth. Knowing the true nature of this evil helps in knowing the way to fight it. There will have to be a physical confrontation of ISIS, but for that battle to be won there will have to be a supernatural victory won through prayer. That is why I am writing today, it is to call the world to prayer to pray down this death cult. Christians, we need to be on our knees in prayer! We must get serious about the evil that is now stalking us and beseech our God to intervene to defeat and destroy this horrifically evil group. The passage of Scripture in Daniel 10 gives us a look into the spiritual warfare that is raging continually in the heavenlies. Daniel’s prayers were answered only after three weeks of fasting and praying. Let us pray for God to defeat this ISIS death cult!
